The Acacia Table transforms the Large Big Green Egg into a complete outdoor cooking station with generous counter space on all sides for tools, ingredients, and serving equipment. The EGG is placed in the table’s center opening on a Table Nest (sold separately) to ensure proper airflow beneath the EGG and to protect the wood surface from heat transfer.

Integrated EGG Opening and Table Nest Requirement

The Acacia Table includes a centered opening sized for the Large EGG. The EGG is placed in this opening seated on a Table Nest, which elevates the EGG to the correct height above the table surface and creates the airflow gap between the EGG base and the wood below. The Table Nest is a required component for this installation and is sold separately. Placing the Large EGG directly on the wood table surface without a Table Nest creates a fire risk from the heat generated at the EGG base during high-temperature cooking sessions and would void any installation warranty. The Table Nest positions the EGG so that the bottom draft door is accessible for temperature control and so that the EGG band sits at a height compatible with the table surface.

Counter Space and Outdoor Kitchen Functionality

The Acacia Table surrounds the Large EGG with solid wood work surface on all accessible sides. This counter space provides room for ingredient preparation, seasoning and sauce staging, tool placement, and plating finished food during cooking sessions. Having this preparation surface integrated directly into the EGG table eliminates the need for a separate side table or folding station adjacent to the grill, which simplifies the outdoor cooking area and creates a more coherent outdoor kitchen layout.
